Welcome to the world of APRANA. Firstly, the name is derived from Prana, which as some of you will know is a Sanskrit word meaning 'Life Force' also described as the term for the breath, spiritual energy and vital-principle.

Our business came out of our many years enjoying the benefits that yogic disciplines gave us, from meditation, to breath-work, to yoga movements. Over many years running successful marketing agencies and e-commerce businesses, we decided to channel all of our energies into a single online destination for people living a more sustainable, wellness based lifestyle. A destination where like-minded people could visit to find products, practitioners and help for their wellness journey.

Over the years, we purchased products from around the world, varying in quality and price. This became challenging for us, as we didn't feel comfortable trying to live a sustainable lifestyle and then using products for our own use, that weren't aligned with our values of being natural, pure ingredients, sustainable and either recycled or recyclable. We found that there didn’t seem to be many places online or traditionally bricks and mortar, that covered all the items we needed in one place. We had sold our marketing agency 18 months prior and knew we needed a new venture, something that sat with our beliefs and our lifestyle. We realised that there were many brilliant small businesses in the UK, creating hand-made, natural and organic products that believed in sustainability, reduced plastic use and as little air miles as possible.

We also realised there were many brilliant practitioners of the disciplines of a yogic lifestyle, such as breath work, yoga, meditation and music. However these makers products and practitioners courses, were spread across many stores, shops and websites. Sometimes lost amongst other products, that didn’t align truly with the companies vision. So, given our many years in branding, creative marketing and e-commerce development, we decided to focus our energies into building our own wellbeing brand. This is APRANA. We now endeavour to partner with UK based artisan makers who use the very best pure ingredients, wherever possible they are vegan, organic and always sustainable. We have already partnered with some brilliant businesses: Moksa, Pure Thoughts, Nathalie Bond, Pure Purpose, Earth Candle, Soomish, Herby Box, Cedar Candles, Marigold Charms, Field Day, UME, Cedar Vitae, Balm, 'Ku.tis, Raw Self, Lauren Manser Ceramics and Rae Ceramics.
